I lock my doors when ever I leave the house. Everyone calls me paranoid, I figure better safe than sorry. Plus I don't want to have to bust up the door to make it look like it was locked if someone did steal something for my insurance! Also if they want my stuff bad enough they need to work for it!

Right! I don't think they wanted anything as my tach is still there and some other valuable things are still inside.

Virginia is looking to pass the Castle Doctrine.  Anyone familiar with that?  Some states have it where you can use deadly force and have no fear of any lawsuits, civil or criminal, if one trespasses in your house, car, etc...

Quote
A Castle Doctrine (also known as a Castle Law or a Defense of Habitation Law) is an American legal doctrine that arose from English Common Law[1] that designates one's place of residence (or, in some states, any place legally occupied, such as one's car or place of work) as a place in which one enjoys protection from illegal trespassing and violent attack. It then goes on to give a person the legal right to use deadly force to defend that place (his/her "castle"), and/or any other innocent persons legally inside it, from violent attack or an intrusion which may lead to violent attack. In a legal context, therefore, use of deadly force which actually results in death may be defended as justifiable homicide under the Castle Doctrine.

Just got off the phone with the police. Our prime suspect said, and I quote "I have more important things to worry about than mess with his truck." They personally know this guy to be a trouble maker. I think he's the ringleader.

the thing is, does he have an alibi? run his prints, it may match something around the truck.  I'd run an NCIC on him to see if he's wanted somewhere, which was probably already done when the cops questioned him.

I don't think he has one. I've never known him to do anything more than talk trash up the street at me. He's in his mid 30 I'd guess, but his thugs seem more like 18ish. He had the after school idiots hang out there before he moved. This one guy stayed with him for a whiled egged my truck and shoveled snow at it while I drove by is the only guy that did anything. I don't think anybody would really instigate stuff if he didn't influence them. Remember, he's they only guy that lived nearby me. If only I didn't tell him to stop screaming at my other neighbors when our kids were outside we wouldn't have an issue with him. I know I have a loud exhaust and listen to metallica too loud but tell me to stop, not scream obscurities at me so the whole neighborhood can hear. Just confront me if you have an issue, you know?

sounds like some issues in that neighborhood.
if a gang of juveniles hit your vehicles, you'd think they'd hit your neighbors too, unless.....they are friends.  hmmmmm.....

Around here they only mess with people they know won't stand up to them face to face, or in court!

Nope, wasn't me, I don't drink enough to do something that idiotic! This guy is about 10 years younger then I, there was a group all about the same age 16 - 19 that used to hang out at my old shop all the time. He did this when he was about 24 or 25. He is nutty as an out house rat. He will try anything twice!

Good news guys! I haven't completely comdemned the human race yet. At O'reillys the other day, some people were asking about my truck, and long story short, I got a 93 std. cab for FREE and new windows installed for $25. I just need a ext. side window. I'm going to try to got to Buttita bros and see if they can replace my tires, as they're on a 90 day warranty. Think they cover slashings?
