torque converter fluid

Hi guys just have a few questions here. i took my stock torque converter out cause i did some work on my motor. as i was taking it out some of the fliud came out. This is just tranny fluid right? another question is how much fluid do i put back in? ??? and should i flush the torque converter?  ??? sorry if these seem like wierd questions i just dont no anything about torque converters. so if someone could maybe do some explainin about them that would be greatly appreciated  ;D . thanks marc

Red=ATF

When you put it back in, check the level with the dipstick and add accordingly.

Fill the converter enough so it wont spill out then you go to reinstall it. 2 quarts is cool. Also make sure it fully seats on the shaft. Should make 2 clicks if I remember right.

ok so il just pour all the old fluid out and add about 2 quarts of atf fluid. Beastie how can i check it with a dipstick u mean check the tranny level im talkin bout the torque converter. is it possible to over fill the converter? is this bad?

The torque converter gets it's fluid from the trans.
