Aluminum Radiator
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:28:49 pm »
I have an 85 SWB thats got a 496 going in it.  I need to find a reasonably priced aluminum radiator for it that will keep it cool in texas heat.  Anyone know any deals?  And i'd like to not help China's economy if at all possible.
Thanks,

Shawn

I bought one on ebay not too long ago, came with electric fans too. Nice fit, nice welds. http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=16329.msg128222#msg128222

Thanks alot.. I saw the one from radiatordealz not to long ago. I just wonder if it is worth it and if it is a quality product.  I'm in Iraq right now so i'm trying to get all the stuff i need now before i get home so i can just go to work and not have to wait.
Thanks,
Shawn

Sounds like it should be in 500-560 range.

I hope not!  Unless you're talking to the wheels.  I'm thinking somewhere in the 620+ at the flywheel.
Well, still haven't got a radiator, went ahead and bought some caltracs for the rear to try and get it to hook.
We shall see when i get back home
