Rims
« on: April 25, 2006, 06:33:00 am »
A co-worker has a 66 c20 8 lug, he wants to put some chrome rims on it, but he don't want to buy new rims as of yet, he wants to find a set used threw the paper or off e-bay.
My 81 c20 is 8 lug, and my 2 newer trucks are 8 lug. I know for sure the newer 1999,2000 bolt patterns wont work, cause I already tried squeezing my 81 Centerlines on both trucks and its off by a few mm's.
I don't want to waste gas by driving an hour away just to get 1 rim, thats where my 81 is parked untill I get it road worthy.

I know Toyota's bolt pattern matches GM's, but forgot what years fit what?
Does Ford,Chrylser,Jeep,Nissan etc... have the same bolt pattern.
Thanks Eddie

The newer 8 lug trucks are metric is why they don't fit. 8 lug is 8 lug from way back. I ran 87 rims on my 64 for a bit till I bought spoke wheels. The factory Dodge 8 lug wheels wont fit because the center hole is too small. 6 lug is 6 lug except Chevy factory wheels won't fit over the jap. 4WD front hubs.
CJ Jeep 5 lug is the same as full size Ford 1/2 tons. Wrangler is the same as a Ford Ranger or 5 lug rear wheel drive full sive Ford cars.GM's large patern FWD cars will fit a 2 wheel drive Toyota pick up. GM's small patern FWD cars will fit Dodge Aries K cars. These are all I can think of off hand but I am sure I forgot some.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
