250 3 speed standard to 283 swap

Just got a 80 long bed with a bad 6 cyl. engine. Will a 283 bolt up to the  bell housing  clutch and 3 speed ? What other parts will I need to change? I'm new at this and have a very small budget . Thanks  , Stu

Yes any small block will bolt up to the trans.  You have to move the engine mounts for the V8.
