I have a 1984 454 outa a rv or a 1976 gmc that has a 454 im not posative if its a 70s 454 but hope it is what would be better to build or whats the pros and cons?

Either would be fine for a build, I'd just watch for core shift on the 70's block.

If either one is a 4-bolt main that is the one I'd build.
The '76 will most likely have better breathing heads.
