I talked to a tranny shop today. I told him it was a turbo 350. He said 1200 tops to rebuild it with a new converter. He calls me later and says $1500 because it is a 350c. That price is without the converter. Does this sound right or wrong?

Is it just getting rebuilt or built? You can get a used trans for 4-600. A rebuild kit is only less than $100. When I was pricing trans rebuilds they're usually under 1k so between 6-900 would be about the cost around here
