Throttle body spacer question.

I have an 87 Silverado V10 I'm thinking of installing a throttle body spacer but don't know if it will help my engine and gas mileage. Is it worth it or not? I read on Internet that it will increase 25 horse power more but not sure if anyone has it on their truck.

As long as it's a phenolic spacer, there'd be some form of improvement. 25hp sounds like a way overestimate to me, though.
Depending on engine, configuration, etc. I really wouldn't expect more than 5-10HP maximum.
Fuel economy, a slight increase, though negligable.

throttle body spacers CAN have positive effect in the right situation, but the gain vs cost is not worth it for most applications, if your after more power and MPG, i would suggest looking for a RV style cam that is TBI compatible, RV cams put most of the Torque on the lower RPMS and with more low end power you don't have to use as much throttle to get going leading to better MPG
