Fuel tank saddle mount questions and blazer tank question
« on: November 28, 2008, 07:52:04 pm »
Has anyone put a blazer rear tank on a truck? What is involved? Parts list?
And the saddle mounts on the passenger side were rotted verybad so I had to junk em. none of my specialty parts cataloges have them. So where do I get em??

Id rather do the blazer tank, I need that space for an air tank. hehe

The Blazer tank the Capt. did.http://www.captkaoscustoms.com/blazertank.html (least I hope that's what your looking for).

The supports, I'd start with the GM Dealer, then junkyard, or E-bay.  Somebody else was looking for some within the past few months, I just don't remember where they ended up getting them.

I can supply both the straps and the tank, all the steps are basically documented on the link above.  You have to have more fuel line and fabricate a fill tube and location.

Thanks guys! I forgot you did the blazer tank install Capt. I just saw a rig on ebay that had one done with a factory looking filler behind the left dually fender.
Send me a PM on the tank straps if you would please, I can get my hands on lots of Blazer tanks round here. BTW, what is the fuel capacity?
Even if its just supplemental to my driver side tank thats fine, but one large tank would be better.

If you have access to the blazer tanks as in used, just get the straps from it.  Blazers came in 25g and 31g.
If you still need a strap price, send an email to me at webmaster@ 73-87chevytrucks.com.  I WILL forget to PM the info at this point in time, so....
