I will take some good pictures for you then but it may be a couple weeks before I get to it. I am supposed to be helping a friend suicide the rear doors of his crew cab and we have to get it completed by Tex Mex.

In a nutshell you weld the mount tabs to the front of the crossmember to attach the rack where it needs to go and then hook up the tierod ends.  Then get some borgensen joints and route the shaft back to the column.

As dv8stated, serveral people have been doing this.  Turner Enterpises started it with rack setups on his sectioned crossmembers, I had plans to put them on one of my chopped crossmembers.  Jim Meyers has been doing it for years and he uses Tbird power racks, then Porterbuilt...

Yep, that really is all there is to it. Well that and weld in the frame notches for the rack to pass through. Only question I really have is where to set the rack, I assume it just needs to be set up so that everthing is level at ride height?

Get it at ride height and then make it as level as possible.  You would rather have the rack higher than lower.

well would putting a rack in a non z'd frame just lowered 3 inches in the front still work? 8)

No reason it wouldn't work same as mine. You will still  have to notch the frame though if that is what you are wondering.

i wanna see the burb, i'm looking at getting one tomorrow to beat around in til my neverending truck is finished.

I'd like to see some set ups, took a good look today and I definitely am going to have to do it, looks like I could do 3 joints depending on the angles. Is 3 going to cause play? And how long is the rack your using, from end to end then from end to steering shaft? I'll try an look some stuff up but really know absolutely nothing about r&p
