Thanks everyone for the comments. Body work is going slow. No room in my shop right now. Will be switching out partners in February and that will give me more space to work. I've been working on smoothing out the firewall and then finishing smoothing the cab corners and drip rails. Then it's prime and paint before I mount it back on the frame. The engine is a .030 350. The cam is a Lunati Voodoo. #650104lk I think. Lift is .504 intake, .525 exhaust. If I remember right, the duration is 233 intake and 241 exhaust and it's either 106 or 110 lobe seperation. I'd have to check. Plan to chassis dyno it once the cab is on to see what it makes at the wheels. My machinist feels condfident that it'll make well over 400 horses. It has ALOT of porting and polishing done to the heads. Bigger valves, seats, studs, guideplates etc. Scorpion roller rockers, hypereutectic flat tops, decked block, it's balanced, 8 qt. oil pan, RPM Airgap intake and 670 Holley street avenger carb. Feel free to email me at hdxcab@yahoo.com. I check that daily.

LSA is 110 and ICL is 106. RPM range is 2200-6400.

Been working HARD on smoothing the firewall lately. Everytime I weld, I find another thin spot. Pain in the A** !! But, it's almost ready for a skim coat.

Anyone here in Austin? I need another person to share my shop (that I rent) to help keep out of pocket expenses down.

Eventually I'll post more pics. Been busy either at work or working on the 79.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna change up the cam when I put my 400 back together and I'm liking the specs and sound of your cam. Might go a bit smaller though, don't know if I want to have a set of heads re-done for the lift it needs.

No problem. I'm always ready to offer whatever help I can.
I did do ALOT of head work for the cam. If the heads won't flow enough, the cam is only good for the sound.
Don't forget that a 400 is bigger so NORMALLY it will reduce the effects of the same size cam. Maybe not a ton but the 400 might like the same or maybe even bigger cam than my 355. It all depends on the combo. Good luck with it !

Good point.

I don't want to get into having a huge amount of head work done, but I'm always on the lookout for a set of aftermarket heads..maybe I will luck up on a set.

Thanks again
