I'm trying to weigh between this setup and the 19 gallon aluminum tank that someone makes for the same area.

Fuel cell, fuel lines, all the fittings and the diff cover about $400 I dont remember how much the aluminum tank was but I think that is why I went the route I did.

I'm see it'd be about $450 for the 19 gallon aluminum tank. $50 for the GM sending unit.  And then whatever it would cost for the new lines.  Probably somewhere about $550 I'd guess vs. $400 this way.  I don't know, might be worth it to me for the extra 3 gallons.  I'm gonna have to think about it.

Yeah my 350 drinks gas like its free   sometimes I wish I had a bigger tank

That blazer tank looks great!  Is that the spare tire carrier you used for the front crossmember?

Did you put a return line on your fuel cell?

69byrd, Your fuel cell is really in your truck backwards. Being gravity fed, it won't be a problem until your down to a quarter tank or so, but going up a hill or on a heavy launch (for very long), I think you will find problems. Does it have foam in it? Lorne

No my fuel cell doesnt have a return line and yes it is foam filled.  I have not had any problems with it yet but I dont drag race.  I started to put it in the other way but I dont race so I didnt think it would be a problem.  If it starts to give me trouble I will turn it around.

Here's a few photos of mine. Basically, the same idea as the Capt's. Blazer install, but with a Summit/Jeg's 19 gal. aluminum cell. I moved the rear crossmember back, moved the spare tire carrier foreward for the front hanger. I made my own straps. The filler door would need to be a little different for the stepside, but the rest would apply. If you plan to ever go play at a sanctioned race track, be sure to have a skid plate on the bottom & a ground strap if you use a plastic cell. Lorne

That blazer tank looks great!  Is that the spare tire carrier you used for the front crossmember?

The spare carrier was used at the upper support for the tank to "pull" up to.  The rear crossmember was moved back to the rear of the frame and angle iron was used for the front location of the factory straps.
