Ashtray

Ok, I haven't taken the ashtray out yet, but it wont stay closed. Is there a spring that holds it up?

and if it doesn't stay closed the spring is broken or missing.

mine was the same way, went to u pull it junk yard and found a good one for a buck, except it was brown and my truck was white, a simple paint job and it matches close enough for me.

all you really need to make them stay up is the springs.

It is a pain to get the spring in, but you have to remove the A/C to get the assembly out.

im not sure about vehicles with ac but mine does not have ac, all it took was 4 small screws and one wire i unplugged, the whole job took no more than 15 minutes max
