MY 79
« on: April 13, 2009, 09:32:12 am »
Hey guys, finally got around to putting the pics online, anyway heres my 79 c-10, its a 81 cab, but all the other sheetmetal is 79, rebuilt it last august, and she still looks great(even through a canadian winter).

it has a 305, th350, however i have a fresh 350 and 700r4 to go into it in 2 weeks when im done this year at college, cant wait, as ive never done a swap like it as of yet.

picked it up origionally for 1500, did the bodywork and the paint myself in a scaffolding/plastic wrap paint booth in the middle of august, i lost a few pounds that day, i tell ya.

PS. love the forum, gotten a heck of a lot of good info from here. Keep it up

Lemme see if i can figure out how to link the pics correctly.

thx, i dont know the make of the rims, they were on a donor truck me and a buddy(restoring his 73) got, i liked them better then my steelies. so i nabbed them, and the caps kinda fell into place when i was cleaning out the garage and found them all sparkly lol.

since these picks i have new tires, c20 fenderbadges(all i could find on the cheap), fenderwell trim, and a freshened up interior, ill get more pics eventually

the paint is light quasar blue, from 90's cars i think, and the caps are off the vans, i like the look though lol, my dad is going to paint his 51 truck we are building this color also lol, i guess i picked a good one.
