painted the floor
« on: May 27, 2009, 05:56:04 pm »
Well i finally finished the floor Blue yesterday, using KBS rust paint, and a bit of elbow grease:

This is the Frame Coater Kit:

STARTING POINT

Using the rust killer step in the frame coater kit i nabbed, it looked as if it was actually killing the rust and turning it white, which was cool to watch

then it was paint brush time, and 2 coats later it was all shiny again

all in all it works great, and when they call it hammer tough(tough to get through) i agree, my buddy dropped a toolbox on the floor at the little ridge in the center of the passenger side, and it made a dent about 1inch down..... and the paint when with it lol, instead of cutting or chipping.
now its only sound insulation/deadening and put it all back together

i got it from syncon, a company up here in ontario, its north of toronto, they are the only ones up here i could get it off of, and the frame coater kit was 55$, came with all the stuff in the pic. they actually sent me a gas tank repair kit on accident, but the next day they had at my door the correct frame one, and told me to keep the other for the hassle. All in all great product and people

I used this exact stuff on the frame of my truck and it is strong stuff. I rolled it on and it flows out so nice .I even used it on the front engine cradle crossmember on the inside and it looks just as good on the outside as is in the insdie...

thanks
