Cars in the woods

You guys must know of some old cars or trucks in the woods. Just thought I would share one I have known about since last summer. Found out who owns the property a few months ago going to try and get some parts off it. Rear end, and rear bumper? 
 The one we pillaged two weekends ago hadn't been registered since 1970! :o

how the heck they get it in there and to sit like that i mean most trucks cars i seen in the woods are eather pushed or parked there and siting on all fours what happend there lol

About 200 yards from the old town dump. Since I have been shown this car last summer I found out who used to own it. I haven't seen him to ask why it is there. When it was put there I am sure the trees where not like this. Years ago farmers would use cars along the river banks to keep them from eroding away around here. Lots of times walking along rivere around here you will find the remnants of cars. Or find several all balled up together where the high water took them and deposited them! Supposedly up the bank farther there is another one burrid but a little of the trunk is sticking out. I couldn't find it yesterday.

oh OK i didn't see it was on a bank thought it was just sitting on its side in the middle of the woods lol. them farmers must of had a lot of cars just sitting around.

This one wasn't one of those. This one is just sitting there over the bank. Back in the day people would bring whole cars to the dump. They would get picked clean of good parts, and then burried along with the trash. This one just happened to not get covered up completely. I know of several houses around here that have 5, 10, 20, one even 70 plus cars burried to fill in a low area!  :'( :'(

We dont have any woods, but I know where a 63 Bel Air is buried because some kid wanted a big hill to jump his motorcycle over. The is a 65 GTO not far from here that has sit in a feild for many years. They wont sell it because they are going to fix it up???? The owner is in his 60s and is in deep south texas. Been in the same spot for a long time.
  My 61 Tbird was a good running/driving car when the stepdad parked it in the barn about 16 years ago, my aunt and uncle moved it to the pasture 3 years later because they needed more room for hay. Now, its  a fraction of what is used to be.
 There are definatley many car graveyards here, but cant say there in the woods,lol.

Its amazing what people use to do with cars when they were through with them.  My granddad would just dump them anywhere.

In the town I used to live in people would take their cars up the abandoned railroad tracks on the hill in the woods and get drunk. Needless to say they'd drop a rock on the gas pedal, slam it into gear and ghost ride em down the tracks til they'd tumble down the mountain into their final resting place. Some of the cars that were there were from the 50's.

Is it near a road where a crane could pull it up??? Could see if they want to sell it whole and cut the trees and bring a 4x4 rig and yank it out..

Yes its a 55 210 Delray 2 door sedan. Exact same as my car.
 Not worth fixing, the drivers side A pillar is completely rotted through and gone. I know who owns the land, I am going to see if I can get some pieces off it for my car. Spare rearend, rear bumper is still strait. Its about 100 yards from the road. I could drive to it with the Blazer. Its partially buried so the bank is quite steep. I don't think my winch would lift it.

It wasn't in the woods even a real barn.I got this one out of a shed about 2 years ago. It's a 54 Morris Minor Wagon. It sat since 83 when the exhaust manifold cracked and the owner could not find the parts for it (no internet back then). I've been driving by the house for over 20 years and never would have guessed that there was a car in that tiny shed. Sometimes you never know what is hidden in plain view.

I live out in the country and behind my house is an abandoned house thats falling in. Sitting in a detached garage at that house is a 64 chevelle and the sticker on the license plate shows it to expire in june 1969
