3 in DJM SPINDLES AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:32:07 am »
this might sound like a silly question but has anyone used both the sprindles and lower control arms from DJM  does it lower the truck 6" in the front?? i was told its dangerous to use lowered spindles and lower control arms
i want it low , i want the lip of the fender well  to sit level with the top of the standard rim on the front
 ;D

You cannot/should not use components like that together.
If you want it low from a bolt-on, call Porterbuilt and get a dropmember.

the only way to get the top of a 15 sit at the wheel well lip would be  bags,  custom or modified lowered control arms, drop spindles and no inner fenders and hears my truck with 215/70 15 and about a 6" drop drop coils and spindles and the lower control arms are less than 2" from the ground and they have made contact with the road and the top of the tires have a inch and half from the inner fenders

I was going to add that I didnt understand why you could not run drop arms and spindles because my choptop has this set up. Flamingbig10 hit the answer on the head. I found out about a month ago, but it is because the a=arms are dangerously close to the gound when you use both.

Called violating scrub...  If you get a flat, you are now driving a sled and the control arms are the skids...

I have the upper and lower a-arms with coils

You can reference the rim and tell that if the drop spindles were installed, it could get exciting. These are 18 in rims, and it would be close with a flat. I dont know about 15s.
