Where to get a driveline brake for a 700R4 Transmission/NP208 Transfercase?

Is there a driveline brake kit available for my application?

The guy I bought my Jimmy from installed rear wheel disc brakes and they work great but I lost my emergency brake in the process.  I really need an emergency brake for when we launch the boat and then later pull the boat out of the water.

Think you can change the calipers to a Eldarodo ones from a rear (mid 70's) then you will have the e-brake provision

I've heard of people using a Hurst Roll Controll as an e-brake. I know it's not the intended purpose but it sounds like it worked for them.

That is the easiest way to do it by far.

That's a hydraulic brake though. If you lose hydraulic pressure you lose your brake.

If you want a mechanical brake you can convert to a hat style rotor with brake shoes. Or there are kits available that bolt a disc to your driveshaft yoke along with a caliper. Old old school was a friction band on the driveshaft itself.

The Roll Control works fine, however in many states a "mechanical" E-brake is required (for the reason Vile mentioned likely). Also I believe it will drain the battery while sitting (12v power used to hold the solenoid on). This could lead to other things...dead battery or worse dead battery, solenoid releases, truck rolls away. Lorne
