painting gmc c2500

right now my truck is the factory gold brown color (dont know the actual name for it) i started to paint it with satin black spray paint...its not gonna look super good and be a great job but i dont have the money or experience to do an actual paint job...right now the hood and part of the side are painted...ill post pics when its done..hope it turns out good

Hey my 84 k10 is the same color. My kids call it the turd! Ill be doin a first time spray gun paint job on it soon! My 72 chevelle has been in black satin rattle can for 10 years. Not bad but its time for some shine on it now and the k10 is the guine pig!

kool ive never seen another truck the same color as mine...and my dad has a 76 chevelle that hes also spray painting satin black...he sanded it down putting self etching primer and then painting it

some shade of grey if your going with a black dash pad. Need some contrast in color.

like a lighter or darker gray? what about a metallic silver or something

I think shade of grey is based on preference. Id prefer a medium metal flake grey. Metallic silver wouldnt look to bad as long as you had some billet or brushed aluminum on the dash to go with it.

what metal are you talking about? the metal on the dash?

yes if/when i paint it its going to be all the same color...im not going to paint different parts of the metal different colors

lol theres the dash pad on the top, then the bottom half is all metal like where the glove box is

That is what I thought you were saying.  From the factory, if the outside was black everything else was also.
And your statement above was asking what color to paint it.  I was just saying to paint it the same color if all the other metal inside is going to be the same as the outside.
