rear 4 link need help

hey guy's sorry if this has been asked befor. i have a 84 c10 2wd short bed an its bagged it has a triangleated 4link in it already but due to sum mods i did to the axle the old bars were to long an hit the bracket on top when it's layed all the way out. now i shortend the bars an the axle is 1" off center side to side an about 3" off center front to back. how can i fix this problem? any sugestions? thanks i can thro sum pic's in to if that would help at all.

Welcome to the site! I'm not into the "bagged" thing, (nothing against it though) some really neat engineering/fabrication in some of those...The one dvcustoms on here is doing is WILD. The basics of suspension design though is the same. What were "some mods" you did to the axle...what did you change? Unless there is some "unique" 4 link suspension on there, a triangulated one will change length (wheelbase) & pinion angle some with ride height. Are you saying at normal ride height the rear axle has moved 3" from where it was prior to your latest mods or is this during up & down motion? Are you sure it was centered before? Changing the bars to miss the frame probably wasn't a good idea.  You can't radoming remove 1" from every bar as it will seriously throw your suspension off.  There are angles involved in a triangulated links so they need to be laid out not just changed.  Post what you have.

If you shortened all your bars equally you shouldn't be off side to side. But shortening the bars will definately move the axle forward. Post some pics and we can be of more help.

thanks guys ill git sum pics as soon as mi sister gives my camra back haha. an i cheacked today with the guy's that installed my 4 link 4or5 years ago an they told me that the bars should b 221/2" an since i shortened them it would move the rearend in that much so i plan on making new ones that r 221/2" an some how make the bracket work on top. i had to make a new bracket cuz the one they made me cracked an was about to brake. ill git some pics up soon. thanks again guys
