New Here and My 84 is New to ME
« on: December 13, 2009, 05:14:35 pm »
Just aquirred this 1984 GMC SIERRA CLASSIC. The body is very solid and in rust free. The truck has a freshly built 383 Stroker with a 700R4 trans. Truck has true 2.5" dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's and 3.5" stainless tips. Motor has approx 415-425hp with about 490ftlbs of torque. I am currently in the process of re-doing all of the interior. I have purchased and will be installing a 60/40 split seat from the rear of a 2000 Cadillac Escalade. Seat will be wrapped in two tone leather. All of the door and window seals have been replaced, the door panels have been replaced, the factory tan carpet is being replaced with dark brown carpet, billett dash and door inserts are being added. Here are just a few pics to show the exterior and engine. I will post interior pics in a few weeks when it is complete.

Really nice truck. Is the center section tan, or a metallic champagne color? It looks to have a silverish/gold color in the first pic. It looks great

Wow, that's freakin' HUGE.  Are you sure about that?  When I put that part number in Summitracing.com I get a significantly tamer Lunati grind.

At any rate, I gotta hear this beast.

Am I sure? Well I am no gear head and I am only going on info provided by engine builder. Engine had 748 miles on it when I bought truck. Engine has a very serious lope to it and loves to stop at every gas station it passes. I am getting between 8-10 mpgs as of now.
