stepside fenders
« on: March 09, 2010, 11:16:30 am »
I am in the process of restoring my 78 stepside. What years did the fenders come without the gas door? I am having a hard time trying to find replacement in good shape and at a    reasonable price.

thanks

You mean the ones w/ the filler neck sticking out??? i think it was 73-77-8 IIRC . I think personally it makes for a cleaner look w/ the gas door rather then the filler neck sticking out... Or if you want just do what i did, buy a stepside fender w/ the gas door, remove it and put a piece of sheetmetal in there, weld it up and smooth it out....

thanks

I like the exposed filler on these trucks.
