Hey guys i am new to this forum so i thought u would introduce myself here with my newest project. It is a 1986 swb 2 door 2wd c-10. Here are a few of the mods that will be done.
4.56 posi rear end
blown 355 small block
Turbo 350 tranny, 3200 stall
Heater and ac delete with vintage air unit.
20 or 22" wheels. not sure yet
Blue and silver/grey paint scheme.
complete custom interior.
possible Z frame.
4 link rear, Not sure either bag on bar or bag over axle.
stock lower control arms in front.
Four 15" l7 subs in bed of truck through cab cut.

The truck needs new cab corners and some work. I cannot complain thought b/c it was FREE... My father in law gave it to me... Now im gonna give him a heart attack and cut it up. (Since he bought it new) LOL...
I do have a couple questions though.
Would it be better to run an bag over bar or bag over axle setup?
When Z'ing the frame will i need to make a new tranny tunnel cover?

The reason i ask a few of the questions is i already have a complete air ride setup, all bags, air control unit, 4 link, and spindles, But they are for a 88-98 full size.

Well here are the pics.

Will the spindles work on the 86 i have.

Just an update. I hope to get started on this in about 2 weeks or so. I have to finish up painting a couple sportbikes before i can really get started... I wanted to update a couple pics of the motor.  I am actually about to change a few things on the motor i have built for the truck and repaint it b/c i finally decieded on a paint scheme for the truck and the 07 R1 i am building to match the truck...
Here are some pics of the motor.

Engine looks great but I had a question about your harmonic balancer. Is that a stock one.  If  it is you may break it with that superchager.  You may need a steel one with a double key.  Also I think the crank would need cut for a second key.

Very nice.  If you put the motor in with the truck as is it would be the ultimate sleeper!!

lol oh know afterit idles you would know it was not a sleeper by any means lol.. It is a aftermarket balancer rated up to 1000hp and 10000RPM.
it has a radical cam like 246/256-517/525 @114 LSA best i can remember. And i hate to break it to you but i ma actually gonna paint all if it again. Heads and all.. I dont like the aluminium and i dont like chrome. May even disasemble blower and change color on it. not sure yet... All in good time... All in good time...

I'm digging the motor. With the short bed you can run 35" bars, and I prefer bag on bar, couple 35" bars with slam specialties re7 bags that truck will ride like a Cadillac with a bed.

well i have a business painting and powder coating, tshirts graphics and designs so i do everything on my own. So i do not ahve to spend alot on outside sources when it comes to building something i want. I wish i had the dought, if so i wouldnt be on here asking questions i would just drop the truck off with someone and let them do it lol.... I kinda wrecked the r1 so i am rebuilding it also. Nothing major just something simple and sleek like the truck.

actually i had the computer replaced last year b/c of a throttle issue that yamaha was very aware off. This bike is the first year for fly by wire throttle controll. NO CABLES. well it was liek teh throttle stuck open. I even pulled in the clutcha dn the bike revved to about 8000, but i was at the corner of the curve when i tried to let off and it wouldnt. I almost made it off the road but found soft ground. It threw me and i flew hit a tree all that good stuff..
it was bad but not as bad as it could have been i guess..
sorry pics were kinda blurry

Nelson Performance painted one of his motors flat black and you wouldn't believe how awesome that motor looked.  It looked stealthy.
