Wonder if they will let me haul a cutting torch out to the junkyard lol  :D

But anyway, how many of the factory boltholes can be reused for the 91 burb bucket seat conversion? And how many new holes have to be drilled?

Well I found a local custom seating shop that will install whatever seats that I come up with for $250, even wire up electric seats.

Yeah... but he is going to have to fab up the metal brackets and install the seats. I bet its the fab work that costs the money.

As for seats, I'll be lucky if I can find a decent set of 99-02 chevy truck seats for $250 in the junk yard. So all in all, I'll be glad if I can get out of the whole project for $500. But then again I'm in texas. How much would you guys pay for a set of 99-02 seats from the junkyard?

here we just go to pick and pull, they have tons of trucks, so any bench seat you could want really. they charge about $40 bucks for a bench seat if you want buckets they are $25 each and if you want a console its about $15, $20 for a jump seat. im getting some seats out of a 99 ram with two buckets and a jump seat center console for $80, they are like new. im just going to take off the dodge brackets and bolt on 2 sets of chevy bench brackets, so my total cost will be about $85, haha. but im cheap. i guess if your going total custom and having someone do the work $500 sounds about average, to rich for my blood though....

Nicest truck seats i've sat in were the leather buckets from my 2500HD CCSB. My gf even liked that truck more than my parents 09 GMC Sierra just because of the seats in the 2500HD

Dang, that's cheap. Wish I had a Pull-a-Part near me. I know I am going to have to pay a lot for my seats because around here, when I call asking about them they say "Naw I usually sell them as soon as I get 'em in."

i have an aftermarket seat thats 2 buckets and a lower middle seat back, and the seat back folds down. (its not 100 percent because when my dad owned the truck he had it reupolstered and the dude goofed it up.

Yeah well you should see what i am working with...the truck i just obtained had seats mounted to a wooden plank that had been covered over by carpet. The carpet was put in fine...looks great...however the plank is not bolted to anything. >:(......I was told the bucket seats that were installed were Corvette seats....i am not a Corvette buff but i do not believe they are Vette seats. My dad has a set of Camaro bucket seats in the garage that i would like to put in instead of letting them just sit there for ages...will do some visual inspections tomorrow to see if i can make it work......for anyone who has done this with Camaro seats, advice will be greatly appreciated...also if those of you who know trying to do this will be a pain.......chime in also.

Dealer installed in '96 for $650.  I like having a flip up console w/ 3rd seat in case the whole family wants to ride. It's got arm rests too.

I want something similar to this for my 79. Didn't some mid 90's model chevy trucks have this type of setup?
97 Dodge Cummins modded 12V
02 VW Golf TDI 40+ MPG
79 Chevy K20 350 4spd 5" lift 37 MT OZ's
88 Chevy V3500 / 88 GMC R3500 combo going 3+3 SRW 350/400/205
