What year was the olds diesel used in trucks

And did they use an adapter to mount to bellhousing ? Please school me.

I believe it was 78-81, 82 was 6.2l. Not sure what adapter you are wanting, but they were a BOP bolt pattern on the flywheel housing

I didnt know, if they used a special bellhousing or just an adapter. Or did they make any manual shift with the B/P/O

could it be why they made a bell housing that would fit gm and olds? i have a th350 with that setup it has 8 holes if i can remember right

They were used in Truck from 1978 - 1980 and in cars up until 1985.  The later Blocks are MUCH stronger than their gasoline counterparts.  They were used behind BOP transmissions, not Chevy patterned Trans, there was no adapter plate.
