Hey there! Managed to spend a few hours hiding in the garage and come up with this. Slow but sure

Do I need to go mad making it super smooth 'cos it'll save rakes of time if you don't see most of it!!

If you don't want to spent a ton of time on it you could use textured paint, It will hide most of the sins.

Alright mate!

I like the black engine idea with lots of chrome dress up pieces, with stainless headers.... That would look sick IMO. Also black will be much easier to look after.

What about a metallic grey block with chrome??? Go nice with orange ??

I'm thinking along the lines of a silver block with chrome trimmings and maybe the odd pin stripe of orange/black in there somewhere. but thats for another day!

It's heading autumn here now so temps are falling and all the panels have to air dry so they take a while but I'm not going to rush it. I've waited long enough to get the paint on so slowly slowly catches monkey!

I have all the paint & materials to get it painted and some etch primer for the engine so I'll have to start saving the pennies (cents!) in the meantime for the shiny bits

Due to space it's one piece at a time until I get the carcas of the cab in the garage!

The reason for the photo outside > it looks sooooooo much better in the real light!

"Old77" > it's close to hugger orange I believe. With the black bits I have planned it'll be lairy thats for sure  

There won't be many vehicles over here that are that big and that loud

when it's all done I'm thinking about getting a signwriter to do a few bits, I fancy a big "454" under the hood (where the sound mat should be) so when people ask "what ya got under there" I can lift the hood and show them! I'll also have the Chevy emblem tweeted on the tailgate, big enough to have the truck details smartly in it so I don't have to keep telling everyone what it is
