My V10 project
« on: August 26, 2010, 12:35:49 pm »
Here a few pics of the truck I bought off my son. I think I've scored a complete front end clip for it and I'm going to go see it this weekend besides that the truck doesn't any rust and the only other dent is on the driver side bed. later

Pretty small. Where are you hosting them? I use photobucket and when I post the pics, they are automatically resized. The first post is fine.

2 weeks ago I saw a Dodge 3500 with a V10 at one of the salvage yards. The truck had been rolled. I spent 20 minutes looking at that engine, because back when I ported heads for a living, I did a pair of those heavy iron monsters.
It sure is tempting. It is heavier than a 454, but offers better low-end and better top-end, stock versus stock, at a similar price.
I'm trying to scrape together the $250 I'd need to get it if it's still there. It had an automatic and a transfer case, while I'd convert it to a T56.
Last year I saw a Ford E350 with a Triton V-10, but aside from the difficulty of pulling a V10 from a van, it was hydro-locked, as is so typical of Ford modulars. It is lighter than the Dodge, mostly due to the aluminum heads, but only 425 or so cubic inches, well, I didn't want it. Even at $175. It would also take a T56, or a T45, or a TR3650, or a TKO.
COMP does cams for the Dodge Ram V-10, IDK about the Ford V10.

It doesnt have a v10 (10 cyl motor). V10 replaced K10 in 87.

hey everyone hope your all going to have a good weekend. i got my fuel lines back i had a company down here custom make me some because i couldn't find any all steal lines but the ones i have work great. the tbi went in easy and the feed line to the tbi was good but they bent my return line wrong so i bent it with two channel locks that i have. beside that it went good no leaks any where. but i do have to replace my iac control sensor well not the sensor but the male plug that boots into it. it just fell apart on me when i pulled it out so tomarrow i'm going to a few junk yards to see if i can match it up. i did throw some pics of the other tbi that was messed up and break lines because there new and the rebuild tbi. enjoy   ;)

That got me a while back.  I saw V10 in a title and expected to see a Viper motor in somebody's C10. I think that V16 GM motor would be way cooler though. 8)
