New Guy from west Texas
« on: October 08, 2010, 08:56:08 am »
Hi!

Im pete, im in San Angelo, Texas.  I just picked up an 82 GMC 1 Ton dually, its got a new SBC 350 in it, was orig a 454 that locked up.  has a 700R4 i believe aswell... I just ordered new headlights from   truck and a new grille, and a new carb and air cleaner so i can pull all the emmisions crap out.

I dont have any pics right now because its still at the shop getting ball joints and tires.  I only have one issue with the truck, the passenger dually fender is trashed, and i need a replacement.  i had no idea walking into this, that it would be such a pain in the butt to find one.  i looked at a couple sites for new ones, i just cant see spending $500 for a piece of fiberglass... does anyone make a universal replacement? or a cheaper replacement?

Welcome from NW Indiana.  One of my favorite towns I used to travel to for work was San Angelo...  I use to stay at a motel, can't remember which one, but they cleaned the windshields of every car that stayed there.  Just a very friendly place...

Welcome from the Midland/Odessa area. I feel your pain. I need a left fender, and cant seem to find anything for right side fenders. Keep an eye on craigslist, i bought 2 for $75, and have seen the whole bed for $400.
