My truck won't shut off
« on: October 27, 2010, 10:18:11 am »
I just replaced the ignition switch and the key switch assy and sometimes when I switch the key to off my 77 C-10 continues to run.  Not run on like a hot engine just runs like I didn't turn the key off.
Update, this afternoon I was running around and it shut off just fine then it did it again, I left the key in the off position and after idling for 30 seconds or so the truck shut off by itself.  Should I name it Christine?
Any suggestions?

Sounds like the ignition switch is not properly adjusted or it's sticking. Make sure it's located properly on the column and the rod is actuating fully.
