85 C-10 Hood

I have an 85 C-10 step side. i want a 2" cowl induction hood. what years will fit this truck? my brother said 80-90 will all fit. not sure if he's correct. i wanna start looking for one and need to know what years i can get one from.

so i need to look at an 81-86 c or k. those are the only ones that will fit my 85 c-10?

C = 2wheel drive, K = 4 wheel drive, 81 - 86 years.  
R= 2 wheel drive, V - 4 wheel drive, 87 - 91 years.
All these trucks have the same cab, doors, hood, fenders, and inner fenders.
Example an 88 or newer C or K parts will not fit.

ok that makes it alittle clearer for me. you have any luck finding 2" cowl induction hoods at any salvage yards or am i gonna have to eat it and buy a new one?

I doubt you'll find one in a junk yard. You might try craigslist or eBay if you're looking for used.

I gotta look at ebay and craigslist. I'm hoping not to have to pay $400-500 for a new one. I'm probably gonna wait it out trying to find a used one online. If nothing by spring then ill probably get a new one.
