Inner cab corners
« on: November 30, 2010, 07:38:40 pm »
Just curious about Inner Cab Corners, What is the best way to remove them? I have the Outer and Inner Rockers gone, Floor pan is gone and the Outer Cab corner. I noticed when I removed the outer CC the Inner isn't in to bad of shape except at the Bottom.

Should I just cut off the Bottom of it and Splice back to it? Or go ahead and try to remove the whole thing?

I just replaced mine. you'd need to drill the spot welds and cut them off or just patch them. It depends what you are going for. I wanted mine to look better than new so I replaced them.

Thanks Vile, I'm kinda leaning in that direction (Replace) I'm into this so deep now I may as well do it right. It has went from a basic fix and drive to frame off restoration..

I had to make a patch for the bottom of one of mine and it wasn't really that hard.  If you don't have to cut it off any higher than the hole where the body plug goes its nothing you can't do with a hammer and a vice.  Depending how high you cut off the outer cab corner you probably only have a few spot welds left holding the inner on.
