« on: December 30, 2010, 09:02:06 pm »
I just put a new Accel dist. on my truck stock 350 and it made a huge difference as far as throttle response used to it would hesatate when i punched now it will get up and go i still need to fine tune the timing and advance but for 120 for dist. and 50 for high performance coil it did a lot as far as i can tell money well spent

Cool!
77 c-10 - 77 400 86 700r4 "Emmy"
83 citation - 2.5L Four on the Floor!
88 sierra - reman 350 700r4 "Eleanor"
All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

I noticed similar benefits when I put an MSD dist. in my 350, but it didn't realize it's full potential until I put some massive plug wires from Performance Auto on it, recurved it with lighter springs and the Moroso weights and plate, and opened up the plug gap a bit. Without good wires the spark just can't get there.
