Changing from manual to power brakes
« on: February 26, 2011, 12:15:16 am »
What would have to be done to change my manual brakes to power? Could I put the master cylinder on a brake booster and put it back on the original spot on the fire wall, or is there more to it than that? I know I'll have to hook up a vacuum source from the manifold to the booster, but what about the mechanism behind the fire wall, pedal assembly etc?

I went the other way(power to manual).  I changed the master/booster assembly, and also the pedal and the big steel pedal/steering support(above the pedal).  That was all.

the easyest way to do it is to go to a junk yard and take one off a another truck. the peddle the boaster and the master cylinder.  and look at what they have and see if they look like yours,  if not buy it.
