How do you properly install drip rails?

 My truck does not have them and water just pours in whenever it rains. Any advice on how to install them?

Are you sure that's where the water is coming from?  The oem driprails just screw on.  Pretty straightforward.

Jesse, Has someone discarded them & welded up the holes? You could put them on with Two sided tape. I've used thin tape under them quite often...that way the water is sealed from getting under them & into the screw holes. Also, I've had One or Two screws strip if the hole pulls up (or has been hit with a sander too much) when tightening the screws...not near as much a problem if the drip rail is stuck down & the screw sealed.   Yes they have been shaved.

     Have you checked to make sure your door seals are good, even without drip rails the water should not be getting into your cab if your door seals are good.

I agree, until you open the door. I always had water sit up top without the drip rails and fall on me when I opened the door.

When I put drip rails on my truck, I used slightly larger screws just in case the holes were defective. I also added a layer of foam tape to the backside of the rails before screwing them in.

Start all the screws and then go back and tighten them lightly until there is pressure. With so many screws, you dont need to have them very tight.
