Issue with reverse lights
«
on:

Okay, so the problem is; when I put my truck in reverse I can wiggle the column shifter and they will go on and off. I know it's probably a connection of some sort, but know idea of which one or how I would go about fixing it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Could just need an adjustment on your neutral start switch. Is there a lot of slop in the shifter?

I meant climb under the dash. With the height of my truck it's literal, lol.

I totally forgot to answer your question... In reverse there is a decent amount of slop. Not so much in the other gears (I think).

Easiest and most likely culprit is still probably an adjustment of the neutral start switch. Have you tried that yet? Eliminating slop in the shifter may be something you have to tackle, but I doubt it and I really can't help much with that. The detents are in the transmission, so sloppy only in reverse may not be fixable anyway. This is an automatic right?

Yep, Th400. And sloppy in all gears, think it's in the column because the trans is perfect.
