Guess the dimensions...
« on: June 10, 2011, 03:32:40 pm »
Love this truck. Been trying to guess the measurements on this lowering job and wheel combo...here's my guess. Please chime in if bored hehe...

Drop looks to me like a 4.5-6 or 5-7...wheels are possibly 18-20 combo.18x8.5 and 20x10.

If somebody has the exact dimensions please post. I'd appreciate it.

That's bagged, see how the front tire tilts in ward at the top.  Its prolly got a 4 link and drop spindles with the bags emptied in that pic.

Looks like you are right. If it was just a drop there wouldn't be a way for him to turn the wheels in the front as tucked as the rims are.

Good call.

I've got that issue somewhere. IIRC that truck still has worn paint for patina.

The suspension had to be reworked to fit the huge 22-inch Coy's C5 wheels out back and 20-inch Coy's C5 in front. To wrap the giant wheels, Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires 255/40R20 are in front and 265/40R22 in the rear. Keith installed the rear suspension with help from Roger Lynskey at RPL Customs of Royse City, Texas. Nathan Porter at Porterbuilt Street Rods in Apache Junction, Arizona, made the rear tubular trailing arms, crossmember, and Stage II C-notch kit. Trey and Keith used airbags from Slam Specialties to go from ride height to dragging the frame. For the front suspension DJM 3-inch drop spindles from a '73-87 Chevy kit were adapted to Porterbuilt's tubular upper and lower control arms, followed by KYB shocks all the way around for the heavy hitting and sometimes unsuspected potholes.

That is a buddy of mine and N2TRUX.  Keith and the truck is Stella Mae
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=414742

It is running Porterbuilts front and rear kits with 20/22's, the paint is original, just buffed and polished.  See the link above.
