« on: June 12, 2011, 10:22:10 pm »
If the fuel guage its not showing the current fuel in the tank or it slowly will show the current fuel, its that means the sending unit its going bad?
I fill up my tank like 3 days ago, and it never show it was full, but the needle when up like half way very slowly for like 2 days lol..

It could be the sender going bad or the gauge itself in the truck.

What was your old gauge doing that made you replace it? Did the new gauge work after you installed it? Maybe a wire came lose or something like that. I would mess with the wires first and make sure nothing came lose. Since its a new gauge id suspect the sending unit or wiring as the problem..but you never know :P I put some autometer gauges in a while back and ended up dropped my gas tank cause the gauge wasnt reading correctly. It was my sending unit.

Heres a link to a gas tank drop and sending unit replacment just incase you end up needing to do it.. http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=9294.0

I think theres also a poste on here somewhere about trouble shooting gauge/sending unit problems and the symptons they show.
