Thanks for the replies guys!
We have decided a bit on both, going to redo the interior and get it more “modern” not sure how as I don’t like digital dashes and really the cluster layout I like. I love the metal under the dash and that is a huge improvement in my opinion over my 05 suburban that is pretty much all plastic everywhere.
Brakes, shocks and fixing the very small amount of play in the wheel are next on the list. I did lap belts last weekend, but other than keeping you from getting ejected I don’t feel safe with them, so shoulder belts will be coming up soon. New carpet and new bench seat, new side mirrors (those big mirrors are hideous.)
I spend more time sitting on the gate then I do on my couch so I am going to fab up some kind of gate cushion (I figure I will live out my white trash dream to its fullest, lol)
I like the white paint, so it will stay white but get a nice fresh coat, the grill and front will stay all the same but something about those headlights, I just don’t feel like I can see at night with them.
General motor repairs, but I have thought about swapping that 454 out for something a bit smaller. I am not towing anything, I do haul stuff from time to time but that is far and few between so not really worried about that end, more for the fuel economy end of it. heck if I could figure out how to get this thing to run on water or corn oil I would. I cringe a bit when I have to fill the tank.
BUT
Not for nothing driving this has gotten me to slow down, stop gunning my vehicles and driving them like they are rentals. 40 bucks lasted me a week, which is pretty good for me.
I’ll post up in other sections as we start tacking the different projects. Fixing the windows really is the first thing to do, I am getting buff just rolling them up and down they are so stiff….lol
