85k20 kick down ??

where does power come from for the kick down switch on 85 k20 with 400 turbo? switch is under dash near gas pedal.is this fused?

Any switched 12V will work, not sure if they were originally fused though.

Not sure where it comes from on mine, never looked. I would think any switched wire would work just fine, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to have it fused. At worst, the fuse blows and it won't kick down? Crazier things have happened.

And Irish, the TH400 uses an electric kickdown under the dash, as opposed to the th350 which is cable operated at the carb.
There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.
