part numbers
« on: September 13, 2011, 05:00:53 AM »
just an ideal why not have a post or part of a form just for part numbers on custom builds. like what str8bloc is working on now swapping a 10 bolt for 12 bolt or other swaps or even rare parts like cv rebuild kits part numbers. something that a store like auto or advanced wont be able to find, but once you give them a part number they can usually get it

As long as it can be under the correct name for the part, not what everybody thinks it is called.  Otherwise it will get confusing and duplicates for the same part #.  But I like the idea.

My intention for the Project section is that people list what tools they used, what parts were necessary with PN's and good detail pictures of what was done.  So technically it should live in the associated project post.

Something like this is what I am talking about:

Is this what you mean?

Like a specialty part list?  Or just a list of all PN's?

I was thinking special numbers. But maybe old ball parts that some part stores might be able to get but don't know how to look it up. Like something other than brakes or oil filters lol.

US and Canada part numbers are different, they can both be used at a dealership. Maybe specify if it is a US or Canadian number.
