TH350 vs. 700R4

Hey, what are your guesses thoughts about and your experiences with a Turbo Hydromatic 350 versus a 700R4? What have ya'll guys learned and experienced through long drives, towing, hauling and performance with these two transmissions?

What rear end gear is in your truck?

with a 4.10 you should go with the 700r4 go with a 84+ the first two years of production used a 27 spline convertor 84+ used a 30 spline

Thanks. I'm not looking to replace my TH350. I was just wondering what ya'll thought about them. In case someday I do have to replace mine.

In overdrive it will be like you have a 3.00 rear end gear.

Unless your putting high horsepower numbers threw the 700r wil never have a problem. Ive always ran the 700r in my trucks.

A properly built 700R4 will handle whatever power level you throw at it and still give you overdrive.  A stock 700R4 at this point in time would need a complete rebuild.

as capt said 700r4 have come along way in aftermarket support. Company I got mine from builds and warranty them up to 750 hp. mine was built for 425 hp not take my stock engine is anywhere near that but for 200 extra why not.
