wow its been a while since i posted on this. well the truck is still in the build process had quite a few setbacks with people helping and i was working like 7-10s at the jeep plant in toledo for a while. lots of setbacks with the first friend of mine helping me disagreed on alot of things so i had to pack it all up and move somewhere else to work on it. on a plus the truck does run and move now. the timing is off a little so that needs readjusted. i moved the truck to my friends shop and he has been doing some work on it when he can, usually doing the stuff i have no idea about. it been coming together slowly ill post some pics i have saved to update this thread.

also, that spare 350 i bought or the serp belt setup i ended up giving to my buddy and it had a main bearing going out and the p.o. said it was a good motor lol. people on craigslist are so kind. well updates as of last?? got the th400 shifting correctly, bit the bullet on the half ton axles for the moment and just ordered some 4.56s yukon brand for it. got those installed. once we cracked the diffs it was the 3.08 gears so I'm thinking it should be alot easier on the truck. one ton axles in the future hopefully but its not in the budget as of late. painted the back of the frame. new hitch installed, recently been working on electrical stuff in the cab and the vacuum situation. ordered the 1986 k10 service manual off ebay for $20, that has been a life saver. the p.o. had alot of rigged up stuff under the dash so i have been tracing and clearing that out. while the bed was off i had my buddy fab up some track bars for it. if anything it looks good on there, im not sure how the wheel hop would go with the lift and such on there. the motor part is 90% done other than the vacuum feed to the A/c. also the heater core was bad so that is half tore out to replace that, which is when i found all the rigging up. got a new steering wheel installed. usually have my buddy start it up every once in a while to get the blood flowing, it does have a voltage draw somewhere which hopefully i was able to eliminate once i demo'd alot of the stuff under the dash. its been a slow project but i want to do it cost effectively and correctly.

http://youtu.be/l5XqMKWI6AM heres a video of the first time it ran. found out the fuel sender and tank were junk it was getting fed out of a can. i dont remember the issue we had i think it was leaking fuel all over why my buddy and the one who built the motor were under the truck.

Coming along nicely.  You are getting a lot done.  Keep it up and it will be on the road soon.
