Checking in
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:52:13 am »
Hello from Kent, WA (south of Seattle).

I picked up a 1987 V10 Silverado with a 350 on 35x12's with 145,XXX for $2,000 about 2 weeks ago.

Just going over tune up stuff for now while I save toward some minor restoration (this will be my first).

So far I have changed:
  • oil & oil filter
  • PCV valve
  • K&N air filter
  • spark plugs & wires
  • rotor & distributor cap

This weekend I'm hoping to change the fuel filter & lube everything.

Any suggestions?

Welcome from CA.  I would just go through the mechanical stuff first to make sure it is safe to drive and reliable.

Welcome from NH. Glad your still here after the IED. Thanks for serving.
Get that 87 all checked out and have some fun in it. And don't forget the pics, we never get sick of seeing squares here.
