I have a 1997 Chevy S10 pickup. Lately the windshield wipers have been going nuts on me. Sometimes they work, and other times they do not.
I have had previous problems taking my vehicles into the shop, as I am given the runaround, and have been charged for work and repairs that were not wrong in the first place.
Could this be the motor going bad? And if so, how could it go bad in such a short period of time? I first noticed this problem about 3 months ago during a bad rain storm when I was in the middle of no where. I pulled over, yanked on the wipers a bit, then they started up again. This seems to be the only thing I can do when this starts happening.
I'd like some advice from those who know about my vehicle before I take it to a shop who will look for things to make me spend more money on than needed.
