Seems to be a hard item to find, anybody have a good source?

Have you checked with your local Chevrolet parts department?

Silverado's had the clear plastic over a polished aluminum, very prone to cracking right down the middle.  I have seen them on eBay but go for a pretty penny.  If it were me, I would switch to the 88 on up style.

I did check with my local Chevy dealer.......no luck.

Mine did crack right down the middle, plus the plastic/rubber "holder" that actually pops into the metal contact ring is broken.
