Fan belt routing
« on: May 19, 2012, 09:47:03 PM »
Can anyone tell me the fan belt routing on a 1985 C30 5.7L with AC?  Specifically is the AC belt closest to the engine and does it go around just the ps pump?

You should have a 3 groove crank pulley, 2 groove power steering pully. So, the first belt on is the ac, the pulley clostest to the engine block : crank-power steering-AC. Then crank - power steering, or crank-water pump-power steering. Then crank - water pump- alternator. The power steering belt routing is preference. It can go on the water pump but it doesnt have to.
