Do you guys think this rebuild kit will be good enough for my truck. It's going behind a 406 with a mild cam, maybe 400 hp at the most. Has anyone here ever used one from this company?thanks for any input here.

Summit Racing has a very good tech. dept., have you called them and talked to them about the kit and your trucks configuration ?

I would and have called them before, but I am currently on deployment so any chance I get to make a phone call I use it to call my wife. So I use you guys as my personal tech department. Hope yall don't mind. I am also going to get a TCI sunshell.

Ive looked at those kits but its like 180 more. Money is getting tight and I have a deadline for all the parts. Time to start penny pinchin. I did a google search and found good reveiws on the TCI kit. I think it will hold up. I dont plan on doggin the truck like I used to when I was a teenager. And I surely cant afford more than a set of tires a year so There wont be alot of burnouts. I think I am going with the TCI. But I might pick up a used 700r4 on craigslist and maybe Rebuild it to be super strong. And have it on hot standby. I would love to build this on like that but like I said I am running out of money and time. I have to be able to complete everything when I am on leave after I get back. Kind of a challenge. But I'm no stranger to workin till wee hours in the night so I think I can have the transmission and engine rebuilt and installed in about a week.
