Ha   Yours looks a little bit nicer shape than mine.  Mine has been painted, it used to have the white on the bottom. This is my first turd brown truck and I think they look really good.

Build is looking good, the engine almost looks like it was meant to be sitting in that bay

Thanks man. That's my plan. I want to open the hood and it looks like a 2002 truck. Or pretty close.

I did get this done the other day.  I think I'm not going to use the console shifter and try to make a bracket to hook the shift cable up to the column linkage

I made a bracket to hook up the shift cable to the column. I found out the blazer cable mounts different on the trans end than the silverado so I'm going to have to get a blazer cable bracket to make that work.

Thanks man. Yeah a 6 speed would be cool but for $800 I couldn't pass up this 02. My tuner has a 5.3/6l90e out of a brand new truck swapped into a jeep Cherokee.

Tonight I got the center console mounted and mounted the 4x4 buttons in there too. Also the 02 mirror was a direct swap too. Just a few wires and the compass should work

Also stuck some old speakers behind the seat along with the jack and tools out of the 02   The storage buckets are out of a dodge ram

I finally started on the wiring tonight and got a good chunk of it done.  Main thing so far is getting the automatic transfer case wired up. I mounted the module on the drivers kick panel and the switched in the overhead console.

Also ran the wires for map lights and the auto darkening mirror

I like how you kept the modern mirror and put the 4wd switches up top. Did your wiring harness have extra plugs coming off the end going to the transmission for the transfer case? My harness does, trying to figure out if its for a 4wd or what. Think it might also be the original shifter set up plug

Thanks.  Yeah I'm pretty happy with how the mirror and switches turned out  im trying to use everything I can from the newer truck. My transfer case stuff was in a separate harness that came up along the frame rail to go inside the can for the module but its also the electronic t-case. If your Harness came off a manual shift case it might have a few extra plugs in the engine harness.

After twisting a few wires together over the past few days I got the fusebox all wired up and hit the key and it fired right up the first time. I had it running for a while to get warmed up and make sure the fans work and everything was fine. Only had one small leak at a line on the hydra boost. I guess I should replace the 30 year old o ring. I still have to run wires for the dlc, cel, speedo, and lights for the 4x4 buttons. And then I can clean up all the wiring and make it look halfway decent.  I'm happy it runs but it's not halfway done. Still have a lot of work to do.
