Rear mount gas tank
« on: October 04, 2012, 11:41:13 pm »
Hey guys, i'm turning an 81 2wd into a 4wd and thinking about going with a rear mount gas tank instead of tanks on both sides. I'm curious to know if anybody has done this and what they think of it. My plan is, with a little modification, to have the filler neck hidden behind the tail light with a hinge on the light that opens up to fill it. Like i said, i'm curious to know how people like thers if they have done it, and also, what kind of sending unit would i use? on  , there is a 3 outlet and a 4 outlet. Which one would i need for this application. Thanks for any and all input.

I tried to do the taillight thing on a truck once it didnt work out well. If i did it again I would move the filler door to the back.
