Lowering a '82 K20

 I was told I couldn't lower my K20 because it was 4 wheel drive. Any advice for kits or anything is helpful.

You can't really drop the straight axle 4x4's. Later model ifs 4x4's can be lowered a little bit.

Advice would be to get a C20. Sorry man.

Only kits to modify a 4x4 suspension is to lift it. If you want a lowered truck you need a 2 wheel drive.

Not because it is 4 Wheel Drive as much as it is a solid axle leaf sprung 4 wheel drive...

In stock height no.  Post a picture, if a previous modification was done going back to stock may lower it.

If you are willing to ditch the leaf springs you can lower it on coils or airbags, but it requires a complete suspension overhaul.

Not worth the effort if you want to drop it below stock height. I'd go with what everyone else is suggesting and get a 2WD.
4x4's were meant to be 4x4's, lol.

Why do you want to lower it. You can do it but it doesn't make a lot of sense for the $$ you're going to spend.

Even if you were to get it lower unless you ditch the solid axles it will never sit lower than a stock 2WD truck.
